Writing About Today’s World as it Changes
Georgia Fitch leads an open access workshop drawing on her experience of researching and writing, FIT AND PROPER PEOPLE, her new drama set in the world of professional football. How can the writer effectively research and penetrate closed worlds? How do you keep pace with complex and evolving subjects? How do you keep your inspiration alive through multiple drafts? With a mix of practical exercises, discussion and examples drawn from the Soho Theatre/ RSC co-production, this is a unique opportunity for playwrights aiming to create dynamic and topical work.
Georgia Fitch was a member of the 2005 Writers’ Attachment Programme at Soho Theatre. Her previous plays include ADRENALINE…HEART , DIRTY DIRTY PRINCESS and I LIKE MINE WITH A KISS.
