“I liked how it broke up the colossus of playwriting into more human-sized chunks and that it gave me practical exercises that I can use to tackle every aspect of play crafting.”
The second Clinic of the year offers writers a rich mix of styles and approaches from a selection of the creatives at the heart of Soho Theatre.
The first day will be broken into sections led by Artistic Director, Steve Marmion and Associate Director, Nina Steiger combining to provide an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by the variety of approaches to creating, supporting and nurturing work for Soho’s stages. The second day will feature sessions with playwrights working closely with us: Soho6 playwright, Jemma Kennedy and VBA winner Thomas Eccleshare. In addition, one on one sessions will be led by Senior Reader, Sarah Dickenson and Artistic Associate, Dan Herd.
Covering the many different aspects of playwriting – from starting points to the development of text in production – this weekend is guaranteed to take you to the next level in terms of how you think about and approach your work.
