Led by Dan Rebellato

How do you create satisfying and engaging play structures? How can you find the structure that works for your play and your voice? What can structure be in the age of through-clicking, time-shifting, file-sharing, and micro-blogging? Led by playwright and teacher, Dan Rebellato (Chekhov in Hell), this intensive workshop offers participants a broad grounding in the principles of structure which they may tailor to create dynamic work suited perfectly to them.

Dan Rebellato’s plays produced by Soho Theatre include Static and Chekhov in Hell. Other plays for stage and radio include Negative Signs of Progress, Whistleblower, My Life Is a Series of People Saying Goodbye, Mile End, Beachy Head, Cavalry, Outright Terror Bold and Brilliant, and Theatremorphosis. Dan is Head of the Department of Drama and Theatre at Royal Holloway where he teaches an MA in Playwriting. His books include Theatre & Globalization, 1956 and All That, Contemporary European Theatre Directors, The Suspect Culture Book, and the forthcoming Modern British Playwriting 2000-2009.
