How does this man still under the influence- the British influence – survive in ‘New India’? Nobody knows, the least of all him.
Yes, the British came to India, they saw, but who conquered? Nobody knows. The quest for Empire and The Empire striking back is the journey of this stand up special. Who says the tragedies of history aren’t comedy? Everyone.
A tube tunnel in London. A busker steps up to perform her last ever pitch. She’s dragged along two musicians and she stops you with a story that needs to be told. About a chance encounter that opened her eyes and changed everything. Together, you journey through a year on the London Underground, meeting weird and wonderful people. The city’s unseen stories unfold as you start to stop and listen.

Inspired by 10 years of singing on the tube, Busking It is an honest exploration of loneliness in the crowd.
After selling out an often-extended Off-Broadway run, Australian tour and London run at Soho Theatre, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon heads out across the UK with The Vaudevillians, a bawdy, rowdy musical comedy co-starring composer and musician Major Scales.

Throughout the 1920’s Kitty Witless and Dr. Dan Von Dandy toured the United States as The Vaudevillians, wowing audiences with their edgy, original music. One day, while touring through Antarctica, they were victims of a devastating avalanche and were buried under two tons of sleet and snow – instantly freezing them alive. But thanks to Global Warming, they recently thawed out only to discover that pop artists had stolen their music and passed it off as their own. Now, at long last, they are taking to the stage to reclaim their songs, performing their music as originally composed. It’s a vintage cabaret with a twist of drag.

Liverpool Homotopia, Unity Theatre
Fri 3 Nov
Book Now

Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton
Sat 4 Nov
Book Now

Gatehouse,Stafford
Sun 5 Nov
Book Now

Gala Theatre, Durham
Mon 6 Nov
Book Now

Northern Stage, Newcastle
Tue 7 Nov
Book Now

Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough
Wed 8 Nov
Book Now

Westlands Entertainment & Conference Centre, Yeovil
Tues 14 Nov
Book Now

Northcote Theatre, Exeter
Wed 15 Nov
Book Now

Sherman Theatre, Cardiff
Thurs 16 Nov
Book Now

Komedia, Bath
Fri 17 Nov
Book Now

Birmingahm Hippodrome, Patrick Center
Sunday 19 Nov
On Sale Tue 5 Sep, 11am

Junction, Cambridge
Tues 21 Nov
Book Now

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead
Thurs 23 Nov
Book Now

Y Theatre, Leicester
Sat 25 Nov
Book Now

Colchester Arts Centre
Tues 28 Nov
Book Now

The Old Market, Brighton
Thurs 30 Nov – Fri 1 Dec
Book Now

The Glee Club, Nottingham
Tues 5 Dec
Book Now

Contact Theatre, Manchester
Thurs 7 – Sat 9 Dec
Book Now

The Centre’s fallen out of British politics. Taylor picks it up, dusts it off, and mounts a full on attack on the present-day Left and its moral high ground. It’s been a globe-trotting year for one of the most critically acclaimed comedians of his generation. He’s been to the US, Australia, toured the UK; everywhere he’s gone he’s found people who say they’re ‘too left-wing’ to vote for centrists, and he’s decided to call bullshit.

Lefty Tighty Righty Loosey was one of the top 10 best reviewed shows of the 2017 Fringe, and was Taylor’s second sell-out run in as many years. Book now!

Age Recommendation: 16+
Running Time: Approx 60mins

Set in a reserve forest in Rajasthan, India, Night’s End unfolds the story of Krishnan Nair. Born into a family of Kathakali artistes and trained in the art from childhood, Krishnan runs away from his native village in Kerala, and becomes a forest guard in a tiger sanctuary. In moments of emotional intensity, the Kathakali artiste in him finds solace dancing.

The plot moves through his attempts to enlist the help of the tiger hunting Mogiya tribals to save the tiger, his friendship with Billu Mogiya the drummer, his romance with the tribal woman Chandni Mogiya, and his encounters with the poaching mafia.

Night’s End is a tale of betrayal, abandonment and loss in which the actions of humans —indigenous peoples, settlers, tourists, the state, the media—powerfully affect the fragile eco-system we inhabit. Warning, you may just get something in your eye when you see some of the clips onscreen towards the end. If a film producer is not already making a movie version they really ought to get their skates on.'* ,★★★★ Beyond The Joke , ,*'Humphries’ perpetually upbeat charisma, pushing and pulling us between laughter and empathy… Endearing and confident…through the lucrative stylings of Kai Humphries’ story-telling we are eventually brought to view his hometown as one that is caring and misunderstood in such a way that strums delicately upon the heart strings… Grateful and richer for the experience, take to heart the rewarding message behind the laughter: “Never ever quit”.'* ,★★★★★ Broadway Baby

In the boxing ring, the only thing more powerful than sibling rivalry is brotherly love.

Acclaimed award-winning comedian Kai and his brother Gav grew up on a council estate in the mean streets of Blyth, a socially deprived town on the outskirts of Newcastle. Gavin wasn’t just an older bro but also occasionally also a bodyguard, his “protection” allowing Kai to develop the cocky, fearless personality that would equip him to go on to become an internationally successful stand-up.

This wonderfully affirming and downright hilarious story is how a life-changing accident in 2013 led the brothers to create one of the country’s most prestigious comedy chains – “Punch-Drunk Comedy” and how Punch-Drunk’s regular stand-up events along with their associated food-bank collections, community outreach programmes as well as the now infamous and literally life-saving Comedians Boxing charity fundraiser ‘Fight For Kian’ * has brought some of the biggest names in live comedy to the working men’s clubs in the North East of England and has both reignited and rejuvenated a community’s spirit. Feel good comedy of the highest order and jokes which (literally) pack a punch!

‘Fight For Kian’ brought together 20 of the biggest and best comedians from the UK comedy circuit and was hosted by Rhod Gilbert. A sold-out audience of 800 packed the biggest local sporting arena to cheer on the event (under the watchful eye of Millennium Martial Arts) which was staged to raise money for pioneering and life saving neuroblastoma treatment urgently needed by local lad Kian Musgrove, which was only available in America and would cost no less than half a million dollars. The headline fight on the card would see the two brothers pulling on their boxing gloves and fighting in front of their home crowd, against each-other.

Age Recommendation: 16+
Running Time: Approx 60mins
