This is a show about all of us. But mainly about Bourgeois & Maurice.

A lot can change in 10 years. 2007 was the year that Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone, Barack Obama announced his plans for Presidency, Tony Blair departed 10 Downing Street and, most importantly of all, Georgeois Bourgeois and Maurice Maurice were born.

This August B&M look back over a decade of social change in a musical retro-speculative that is part-fact, part-fiction and part-self indulgence. Picking highlights from their four albums of musical satire and social commentary, they attempt to make sense of a decade of rapid change, and work out whether they could, in fact, be to blame for it all?

Blending the line between contemporary cabaret, alternative comedy and prancing around in sequins, Bourgeois & Maurice have established themselves as one of the UK’s most subversive and innovative musical acts. They had one of the top twenty best-reviewed comedy shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2016 with How to Save the World Without Really Trying, and their work has been seen around the globe from New York to Belgrade, from a converted public toilet to the Royal Opera House.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the world that was, before we’re all vapourised in a nuclear war!

Featuring guest performances from some of London’s most exciting new acts.

Guests:

Tue 15 & Sat 19 Aug – Non Applicables
Wed 16 Aug – Victoria Sin
Thu 17 & Fri 25 Aug – Ginger Johnson
Fri 18 & Mon 21 Aug – Travis Alabanza
Tue 22 Aug & Sat 26 – Rodent DeCay
Wed 23 & 24 Aug – Shay Shay

‘B&M have worked their way up from the capital’s alt-cabaret scene to become modern day music hall stars.’
Guardian

Running Time: Approx 70mins
Age Recommendation: 16+

Gad Elmaleh is one of the biggest and most recognizable comedic talents in the world. Gad is currently at work on his new English-language comedy special. He also announced a highly-anticipated comedy performance with Jerry Seinfeld, which will take place in July as part of this year’s famed Just for Laughs in Montreal.

On stage, Gad continues to cement himself as one of the most widely known and beloved stand-up comedians working today. In January 2017, he released his latest comedy special Gad Gone Wild, the Netflix Original show-cased Gad’s impressive multi-lingual ability, as the material was performed in a mix of English, French, and Arabic.

In 2015, Gad completed a residency at Joe’s Pub in New York, which saw him performing to sold-out crowds for more than fifty nights. The impressive run led to a multi-city major comedy tour across the United States, culminating in a sold-out show at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in February 2017. Previously, Gad made history by selling out the prestigious Olympia in Paris for seven consecutive weeks, a feat that had never been accomplished before. He followed the sold-out run with another seven sold-out weeks of shows at the Palais des Sports, a 3,800-seat venue also in Paris.

In the film world, Gad starred as “Ben Salaad” in the Steven Spielberg-directed film The Adventures of Tintin and can be seen opposite Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. His additional film work includes Pattaya, The Midnight Orchestra, Capital, Les Seigneurs, Happiness Never Comes Alone, Jack and Jill, La Rafle, Coco, and many more.

Gad was born in Casablanca, Morocco and speaks four languages: Arabic, French, English, and Hebrew. He currently splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.

Age Recommendation: 16+
Running Time: Approx 60mins

After selling out an often-extended Off-Broadway run, Australian tour and London run at Soho Theatre, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon heads out across the UK with The Vaudevillians, a bawdy, rowdy musical comedy co-starring composer and musician Major Scales.

Throughout the 1920’s Kitty Witless and Dr. Dan Von Dandy toured the United States as The Vaudevillians, wowing audiences with their edgy, original music. One day, while touring through Antarctica, they were victims of a devastating avalanche and were buried under two tons of sleet and snow – instantly freezing them alive. But thanks to Global Warming, they recently thawed out only to discover that pop artists had stolen their music and passed it off as their own. Now, at long last, they are taking to the stage to reclaim their songs, performing their music as originally composed. It’s a vintage cabaret with a twist of drag.

Liverpool Homotopia, Unity Theatre
Fri 3 Nov
Book Now

Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton
Sat 4 Nov
Book Now

Gatehouse,Stafford
Sun 5 Nov
Book Now

Gala Theatre, Durham
Mon 6 Nov
Book Now

Northern Stage, Newcastle
Tue 7 Nov
Book Now

Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough
Wed 8 Nov
Book Now

Westlands Entertainment & Conference Centre, Yeovil
Tues 14 Nov
Book Now

Northcote Theatre, Exeter
Wed 15 Nov
Book Now

Sherman Theatre, Cardiff
Thurs 16 Nov
Book Now

Komedia, Bath
Fri 17 Nov
Book Now

Junction, Cambridge
Tues 21 Nov
Book Now

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead
Thurs 23 Nov
Book Now

Y Theatre, Leicester
Sat 25 Nov
Book Now

Colchester Arts Centre
Tues 28 Nov
Book Now

The Old Market, Brighton
Thurs 30 Nov – Fri 1 Dec
Book Now

The Glee Club, Nottingham
Tues 5 Dec
Book Now

Contact Theatre, Manchester
Thurs 7 – Sat 9 Dec
Book Now
