★★★★
Evening Standard, Metro, Independent

Following a sell out run in January this year, Blind Summit returns with a newly reworked, extended performance of The Table. A cantankerous, two foot high puppet has an existential crisis on top of a table as he tries to perform a real time re-enactment of the last twelve hours of Moses’s life. How did he get there? Why is he there? Why can’t he get off? Does he want to get off?

From the innovators who created memorable puppetry for Anthony Minghella’s award winning Madam Butterfly, Simon McBurney’s A Dog’s Heart and their own sell-out hits, 1984 and Low Life.

‘One of the funniest hours around… “Extreme puppetry”, the acclaimed company call it. Extremely entertaining I say. Recommended, no strings attached.’
★★★★
Evening Standard

Blind Summit Theatre in association with 2012 London International Mime Festival and Soho Theatre. Supported by Jackson’s Lane. Commissioned by YaD Arts and JCC.

Audio described performance: Wed 23 May, 7.30pm

Sadie Frost returns to the stage for a limited three week run at Soho Theatre of Zoe Lewis’s follow up one-woman play TOUCHED…LIKE A VIRGIN.

In 1984 Lesley, an ordinary lass from Manchester is ‘Touched for the very first time’ by Madonna.

Thus begins a lifelong love affair until the world’s biggest pop star gets married and ditches the pointy bra in favour of twinsets and pearls. Lesley feels betrayed and the clock is ticking. What if, when you are ready to settle down, you find you’ve left it too late?

Zoe Lewis takes a gut wrenching look at the thirty something dilemma.
It’s just Proops and you. There’s no fan fare. Proops takes centre stage at small table and chair set up with a single microphone. Then he’s off. An hour of great conversation that flies by at a break neck clip. He crams the feeling of a great two-way conversation into the lecture-style format of a one-way conversation.

Part professorial, part crazed comedian, Proops forms the show around his talent and passions. The show flows like a love letter to tangents. The Proopcast has been to Australia, New Zealand, Montreal, Edinburgh, Austin, Cleveland, San Francisco and off the coast of St. Martin in the Caribbean all this year. Now London must fall.

Be there and experience joy for once in your life.

You may Socially Network with Greg on Twitter at
@gregproops and tumblr at gregproops.tumblr.com

A well is an eye of the earth. In an attempt to improve vision, Xanthe Gresham and Nick Hennesey uncover the stories and songs of the U.K’s lost watercourses and their even more lost goddesses. Like a divining-rod incarnate, Xanthe Gresham has spent the last few years unearthing deities from Soho telephone boxes, Argentinean tango classes and middle class dinner parties. They’ve been airy, earthy and fiery – and this time they’ll be wet. This is metaphorical archaeology of the soul. ‘Whatever we lose (like a you or a me), It’s always our self we find in the sea’ E.E.
A fantasy adventure, served up with typical Alan Ayckbourn magic and lashings of imagination, The Boy Who Fell Into a Book is an exciting journey into the unknown.

Kevin is into his new book in a big way; but it’s time for bed, and Dad won’t stop nagging him to turn out the light.
