Australia’s acclaimed comedy super-nova is back with his sweet facial hair and a brand-new hour of kickass stand-up!

Returning to the Soho theatre this December, Nick Cody: On Fire is a smouldering hour of superb, no-frills, world-class stand-up from the 30 year old who is already one of the most sought after live comedians around the globe. His 2015 UK debut took Edinburgh by storm landing him in the Top 10 highest reviewed shows – this will be Nick’s third season at the Soho Theatre, hot on the heels of his third smash-hit Edinburgh fringe season and is the latest UK instalment in his already impressive body of work.

Nick has headlined sold-out comedy clubs all over the world including performing his solo shows at all the major Australian festivals over the last seven years and being invited to play at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival. He has also toured extensively around Australia and Asia as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow and Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase tours. As well as his own shows, Nick was chosen to support Jim Jefferies, Bill Burr and Anthony Jeselnik on their tours. If selling-out all over the world wasn’t enough, Nick has also been invited by the Australian Defence Force to perform for the troops in Afghanistan and has performed on board the HMAS Melbourne whilst it was at sea.

As well as his live work, Nick made his US late night television debut on Conan and is one of only a handful of Australians invited to perform on US Comedy Central. Back at home, Nick starred in the hit sketch show Kinne (7Mate) and on Josh Thomas’ award-winning comedy/drama Please Like Me (ABC2). His stand-up has been featured on the ARIA-nominated DVD Dave Hughes Is Handy (Roadshow Films), ABC2’s Comedy Up Late, Best Of The Sydney Comedy Fest, Just For Laughs Sydney (Comedy Channel) as well as the Melbourne Comedy Festival Opening Night Allstar Supershow (Channel 10).

Nick has also recorded two solo stand-up specials, Here’s Trouble and What Of It?

‘Nick Cody is a revelation… Both uncontrollably-laugh-out-loud funny and hang-your-head-in-shame funny.’
★★★★ Herald Sun

‘Hilarious… Accomplished, funny and, very much in its own way, a tender(ish) reflection on manhood.’
★★★★★ ThreeWeeks

‘Hilarious… Gimmick-free comedy from the acclaimed Australian funny man… Cody’s deceptively laid-back style of delivery means that it packs one hell of a punch when he lets slip a big old, close-to-the-bone gag. Nothing, it seems, is off limits, from diabetes, terrorist attacks and tales of his ‘loose unit’ parents…A Fringe must-see.’
★★★★ The List

*‘On Fire is the quintessential Aussie stand-up show. No-one is safe…. And it’s funny… This is stand and deliver comedy.
No props, no movement. Just a sharp tongue and a quick wit… Genius.’*
AU Review
