2017 VOICE MAGAZINE WINNER PICK OF THE FRINGE

2017 SCOTTISH COMEDY AWARDS: News At 3 – WINNER Best Online Comedy

Award-winning Scottish comedian Mark Nelson makes his eagerly-awaited return to the Soho Theatre with his acclaimed, runaway 2017 Edinburgh fringe sold out hit “Irreverence”, both the show and the attitude.

What’s the fucking point of taking anything in the fucking world fucking seriously anymore?

Sick of Life Hack apps and ridiculous self-help books, Nelson takes aim and fires right into anything that claims to make you the best version of you possible. With his razor dark wit and sharp tongue, your best ‘you’ doesn’t stand a chance. Not for the easily offended, Nelson with his likeable manner and charm, often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn’t be laughing at.

Nelson is in huge demand as a headline artist for the UK’s and Australia’s biggest comedy clubs, as well as for his solo shows, as writer and presenter for live gigs, broadcast shows including ‘Just For Laughs’, ‘Mark Nelson’s Guide to Marriage’, ‘Don’t Drop the Baton’ and beyond. The “beyond” bit notably including “News at Three” – Mark’s original series of viral Facebook clips with his toddler daughter where they hilariously discuss issues such as global warming, Donald Trump, Easter, healthy eating…. Also featured on BBC’s One Show and an internet sensation with over 104 million hits to date, becoming the BBC’s biggest-ever online-only original comedy smash-hit.
