Straight off the top of our heads: a story from nowhere and a musical score on the hoof. Script-defying theatre makers Cartoon de Salvo and sonic shape shifters The Adventurists join forces to present Made Up, a new improvised play every night.
The Company
Cartoon de Salvo is one of Britain’s best-loved theatre companies and 2012 is their fifteenth birthday. On their quest to mess with the live experience, the Salvos have created multiple hit shows including the entirely improvised Hard Hearted Hannah and Other Stories (Daily Telegraph Top Ten Shows of the Year) and Pub Rock.
The Adventurists
Less of a band, more of a collaboration, The Adventurists use Celtic Harp, Double Bass, Steel pan, homemade drum kits and electric & acoustic guitars to bring their songs and stories to life. With a shared desire to take each night as it comes, and each with a wealth of material, The Adventurists join Cartoon de Salvo to improvise a new live score for Made Up every night.
