‘Some people say football is a matter of life and death. I don’t like that attitude, it’s more important than that.’ Bill Shankly

Casey is back home. She’s here to sort her club out. They’ve fallen into the Championship, and have some problems to solve. The solution is obvious. Money. And Casey knows where to get it.

Inspired by real footballing events, Fit and Proper People exposes the backstage dealings that manufacture our national heroes, and addresses the very topical question of who is running our social and cultural institutions. And how they run them.

We will transform the theatre into a football stadium with real turf, floodlights and constant media coverage for 90 minutes of spectacular action.

Turn up to the show in a football shirt and get a free drink.

POST-SHOW MEAL DEAL Enjoy a 2 course meal for just £10 after Fit and Proper People. Book online when you buy your tickets or phone our box office on 020 7478 0100.

  4. What an incredible show, well done to teh RSC for comissioning something so utterly fresh and compelling, I have to say that the blinkered, traditional critics could not have been more wrong on this one! Thanks you for a wonderful night. Still shaking.
