Doctor Brown & Sam Simmons: Ceremony

  • Fri 23 & Sat 24, Fri 30 & Sat 31 Jan, 10.30pm

Sam Simmons and Phil Burgers spent part of the summer together in LA. They went sailing, walked shirtless, got drunk by an open fire, they even ate fancy French food one night. They also wrote and performed a show together called Ceremony.

During the process they fought quite a lot, circling each other like Grizzly bears around the campfire under a rotting fig tree.

A ceremony is an event of ritual significance, performed on a special occasion. The word may be of Etruscan origin, via the Latin caerimonia.

Two men named David attempt to bury themselves amid the pomp and parade that goes with Ceremony.

Birth, Death, Sabbath, Fire, Marriage, Sacrifice, Ribbon Cutting, the Winter Solstice or even Your Neighbour Celebrating Finishing The Dry Wall.

I now pronounce you David and David.

Running Time: 60mins
Age Recommendation: 16+
