'Brilliant, thought-provoking and laugh out loud funny'
Time Out
Having won critical acclaim for his previous show, Cruel and Unusual, a comedy show against the Death Penalty in America, Irish comedian Keith Farnan arrives at the Soho Theatre with his new show.
'If Eddie Izzard had been Irish, he'd surely have turned out like Keith Farnan'
The Scotsman
Hailing from Ireland (which has never been the posterboy-country for ethnic or religious diversity) has always been an advantage as a comedian as the Irish are generally loved wherever they go. But it wasn’t always like this and signs such as 'No Irish Need Apply' were commonplace where the Irish landed in droves. So what happened to change people's mind? Did we work harder? Did we have to develop our world renowned charm? Or did we just buy everyone a drink until they liked us? And how have we treated our own immigrants?
The BNP are on the rise, the economic state of the world is in tatters, jobs are being lost and everyone’s scared. But surely we’ll never see those types of signs again. Or will we? And what would the world be like without Blacks, Jews, Dogs, Irish? Would we find ourselves in a world ruled by White Cats with no sense of rhythm and an inability to hold their drink?
Lots of Questions! Very Few Answers! Plenty of Laughs!
'As close to a reincarnated pre-Black Books Dylan Moran as we're likely to see nowadays'
The Scotsman
'Both witty and insightful, Farnan combines charm and chutzpah and tells a good yarn – his jokes can be sparky and sometimes even edgy, yet he remains gleeful throughout'
The Stage
'A Pacy, Compassionate Show… A Comedian with formidable Skill
