Following on from February’s workshop, this session will focus specifically on the challenges of creating dramatic work from the stories and experiences of vulnerable groups.
Playwright Jennifer Farmer has written for and with women in prison, children at risk and refugee groups. Her acclaimed play, Compact Failure, was written as part of a residency at HMP Send for Clean Break. Her most recent play, Bulletproof Soul, premiered at Birmingham Rep in March 2007 and Jennifer has written plays for the Bush Theatre, Paines Plough, the National Youth Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East and BBC Radio 3 and 4. Her current commissions include plays for the Tricycle Theatre, Birmingham Rep and BBC Radio 3.
