Maria’s directing credits include Stallerhof (Southwark Playhouse); Love and Money (Young Vic Directors Project); Audrey (RADA); My Best Friend (Central Station); A Handful of Dust (Institute of Choreography and Dance) and The Maids (Judi Dench Theatre). Assistant directing credits include The Crucible (RSC); Aristocrats (RNT); Lucky Dog, Sweetest Swing in Baseball, The Sugar Syndrome (Royal Court); Shakespeare Love Songs (Globe Theatre, Neuss/Tour) and Romeo and Juliet (Malmo Dramatic Theatre). Maria was senior reader at the Royal Court for two years and completed the National Theatre’s Studio Directors Course in 2005.
