who's afraid of the big bad book?
at Warwick Arts Centre
3 - 31 December 2005

Who’s Afraid of The Big Bad Book? tells the story of Herb, who falls in his book of fairy tales and wakes up as the star of the stories.

Starring the divinely talented Miss Goldilocks with a guest appearance from the Little Bad Wolf, this best-selling children's favourite is brought to life for the first time on stage with animation and brand new songs.

Lauren Child is an award-winning children’s author and illustrator, whose other work includes Beware of the Storybook Wolves, I Will Not Ever, Never Eat a Tomato and the hugely popular Clarice Bean series.

Suitable for 3 years to adult.

'... an almost cinematic experience and makes gripping viewing, judging by our four-year-old's look of intense concentration throughout. Technically impressive and heaps of fun, this is an adaptation that manages to go by the 'Book' and turn over some new leaves.' Time Out

'Jonathan Lloyd's fast-moving stage adaptation wisely sticks to Child's path... a genuine show stopper.'
