Ellen Cranitch

Ellen's previous work with Rough Magic includes Improbable Frequency. As a classical flute player, Ellen has worked with the RTÉCO, the NSO, numerous chamber ensembles and is very much in demand as a session musician. Her composing work includes commissions from Eigse Carlow, The Dublin Theatre Festival, The Heritage Trust, Coiscéim Dance Theatre, Amadee Creations Theatrales Montpellier and b*spoke theatre company. She plays flute with the band Khanda, whose tour of India in 2001 was the subject of a television documentary, Five Cities. She also makes documentaries for radio, including the acclaimed series, Frozen Music. Ellen presents Grace Notes on RTÉ Lyric FM.
