
Ara Moradian
Since graduating in costume and set design from Croydon College Ara has designed for drama, dance, opera, music and contemporary bands.
His theatre credits include: seasons for Kent Opera in Asia, Europe and the UK, Raymond Gubbay in the UK and Ireland, Swingtime Canteen (at the Kings Head), Rags to Riches (at the Savoy), and IsThat All There Is? (at Riverside Studios).
Ara has worked extensively in the West End in musical theatre and drama including Time, Grease (both at the Dominion Theatre),
Richard III (at the Savoy), and Private Lives (Albury and Richard Rogers Theatre, New York), Absolutely Perhaps directed by Franco Zeffirelli at the Wyndhams Theatre, and many other productions.
For Dance, Ara designed the set and costumes for Common Ground for Adzido Dance, and Gregory Maqomas Silk at the Royal Opera House, also part of The London Arts Festival and then an extensive UK tour. Ara has designed costumes for several boy bands as well as singers including Cantabile, Mica Paris, and Chaka Khan.
