'Unmissable... one of London's fastest rising talents.'
Time Out
Time Out New Talent performer Michael Twaits makes his debut at Soho with his caustic cabaret theatre show exploring the cult of celebrity. A metaphorical flick through the pages of Heat magazine fusing comedy, cabaret, multimedia and music.
After the success of Confessions Of A Dancewhore, Twaits has performed at some of London's most prestigious venues: Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, National Film Theatre, Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Bistrotheque and the V&A.
With his latest show character cabaret is redefined through a theatricalfusion exposing the darker side of celebrity. Flicking through the pages; Jade's releasing books from beyond the grave, Jodie Marsh is keeping it real, Britney's run away to the circus, Judy Garland gives a call to arms and Gary Glitter returns from Vietnam.
'He is an engaging and engaged presence... Twaits' brave performance is eventually all the more revealing because he dares to be so vulnerable.'
The Guardian
'The future of queers theatre.'
The Stage
'Super talented cabaret star.'
